Series 1: The Nursing and Homeopathy Series introduces the specialty of homeopathy to nurses.

The focus is on how homeopathy can inform nursing practice. Emphasis is on the history and principles of homeopathy, the practice of homeopathy by nurses locally and globally, and information on regulation, ethics, and scope of practice boundaries.

  • Explain how the specialty of homeopathy can inform nursing practice.
  • Identify why and how homeopathy is used in practice and can be considered a career trajectory.

Meet Your HNA-CPE Presenters

Sue Roe, DPA, MS, BSN, RN

For over 30 years, Dr. Roe has been the Principal and Senior Practice Consultant for The Roe Group Enterprises, LLC.  whose focus is on strategic positioning; performance excellence, competency, and mastery learning systems and processes; impact assessment; program and process evaluation; comprehensive needs assessment and feasibility studies; academic affairs and administration; accreditation; program/curriculum design and development; and workforce development. Dr. Roe has received recognition and awards for her professional leadership and accomplishments. She is considered a community leader, skillful facilitator, an accomplished administrator, and change agent. Dr. Roe is the current HNA President.

Christina Cartin, MS, BSN, CRNA, CCH

Christina has been a nurse for over twenty years. She began her nursing career as a Registered Nurse and decided quickly to pursue a master’s degree working as a Certified Registered Nurse Anesthetist (CRNA). After 10 years working as a CRNA she began to search for new career paths. Nearly four years ago she learned about homeopathy. Healing through homeopathy made sense and she began school to train as a classical homeopath. In 2022, Christina finished her studies at the School of Health in England, passed her Boards through the Council of Homeopathic Certification. Christina continues to work as a CRNA along with opening her homeopathy practice. She is the current HNA Membership Secretary.

Learn homeopathy’s history and enduring practice principles, its current use in the worldwide homeopathic community, and its practice-based evidence. Appreciate how this medical system has evolved since its beginnings in the late 1790’s.

Learning Module 3: Nursing’s Practice of Homeopathy: Regulation, Scope and Ethics

Learn the state scope and regulation of nursing practice in relation to the practice of homeopathy. Explore homeopathic certification and how it validates homeopathy expertise and skills. Examine the convergence of ethics in nursing and homeopathy to advance nursing practice and offer more informed patient care.

The granting of ACHENA CEUs for this course requires complete review of the recorded presentation(s) and successful completion of the knowledge assessment and post-course survey. After these are completed, the individualized CEU certificate of completion can be downloaded / printed. The continuing education credits for this course can be used to fulfill CEU renewal requirements for the Council for Homeopathic Certification.
