Trinity Health Hub Terms of Use (“Terms”) Last updated: August 31, 2024

Please read these Terms of Use (“Terms”, “Terms of Use”) carefully before using the www.trinityhealthhub.com (“The Hub”) website operated by Karen Allen as Trinity Health Hub portal and Health Self Reliance(SM) learning (“us”, “we”, or “our”).

  • Your access to and use of The Hub is conditioned on your acceptance of and compliance with these Terms.
  • These Terms apply to all visitors, subscribers, registrants and others who access or use The Hub.
  • By accessing or using The Hub, you agree to be bound by these Terms. If you disagree with any part of the terms, then you are not eligible for membership, and should not subscribe, register or access The Hub.

Eligibility

HUB Self Care content for the public, presented within the Healthy Self Reliance(sm) program, is intended for adult consumers who value the self care approaches of holistic health, natural and traditional medicine. This self care material is presented for personal education, and is not intended as individual medical advice for any subscriber for any specific medical condition. It is not intended as medical training in the role of a physician who diagnoses or treats disease, nor is it meant to replace the subscriber’s relationship with a primary care provider such as a medical doctor, naturopath, acupuncturist, therapist, or other licensed healthcare professional. Each Healthy Self Reliance(sm) learner is encouraged to make healthcare decisions responsibly, in consultation with a qualified professional for conditions which are beyond self care. Each Healthy Self Reliance(sm) program subscriber agrees with this intention of self care training, and that he or she meets this criteria of eligibility.

Hub professional resources are intended for professional practitioners and advanced students in formal education programs studying homeopathy, naturopathy or traditional Chinese medicine (TCM). Professional content is not intended for independent study self care supporters of homeopathy. Each HUB Professional subscriber agrees that he or she meets this criteria of eligibility.

Termination

If any subscriber breaches these Terms, the Hub may terminate or suspend access to our service immediately, without prior notice or liability, for any reason whatsoever without limitation. All provisions of the Terms which by their nature should survive termination shall survive termination, including, without limitation, ownership provisions, warranty disclaimers, indemnity and limitations of liability.

Participation and Permissions

Each subscriber or participant in the Trinity Health Hub or Healthy Self Reliance(sm) programs has the opportunity to attend live online sessions within the subscribed or registered programs. During these live online sessions, recordings capture visual and audio content and text Q&A / chat from presenters and participants. These recordings are posted for review in the Trinity Health HUB website and external websites which may include Vimeo, YouTube, Facebook or Instagram. By their participation, all attendees grant permission for these recordings to be used for educational purposes by us. Each participant is encouraged to carefully consider their comfort level with participation, understanding that live sessions are recorded, and recordings are posted for review by others. For any participant who would prefer NOT to have personal interactions or content visible in recordings, these accommodations are offered:

  • keep your camera off and microphone on mute during any live Meet UP session (these are already off in webinars)
  • participate through chat comments that are sent only to the presenter or moderator of the session
  • in MeetUP or Webinar, use the Zoom ‘Rename’ functionality to change your name in the meeting or webinar to something anonymous

Access, Security and Confidentiality

Like all websites, the HUB has to be careful to prevent hackers and mischief makers from causing problems, grabbing data, or destroying content. We employ strong protection for the HUB using WordFence security. Based on risk profile, we have implemented a recommendation to make the HUB more secure, by logging out any account that is inactive for 9 hours.

The Hub allows subscribers to view recorded training videos, download course documents, and attend live training, meetup, and study group sessions as defined with each subscription type. Only the individual subscribed or registered for a class or event has access to these materials. Login access is for the subscribed individual only, and can not be shared for a group. Any login showing access from multiple IP addresses, and a pattern of use suggesting that the login details are being shared with others will be terminated.

Subscriber data that is held within the HUB includes your user name and password, and contact information that you entered to set up your account on the HUB. It also includes details of course completion, quiz results and your posted comments. When a subscriber cancels a HUB subscription, the subscriber’s historical data is kept to provide continuity for a reactivated subscription in future. If you prefer to have all of your user data deleted when you cancel, request the HUB office to complete this, and it will be done within 7 days after cancellation. Deletion will be confirmed by email after completion.

No credit card or other payment method data is held on the HUB at any time. The HUB’s merchant banking vendor, Stripe, keeps your financial data secure. Stripe is an audited and certified PCI Service Provider Level 1 vendor. Payment history with date and amount of payment is kept on the HUB for each subscriber. A subscriber has visibility of this data on the subscriber account page.

The HUB does not give, sell, lease or otherwise make available any subscriber data. Email address, first name and last name for HUB subscriber accounts are exported regularly to Brevo, the HUB’s email vendor, where it is securely held for HUB newsletters. Subscribers may opt out of newsletters at any time using the unsubscribe link present in every newsletter.

Copyright Content of Training Materials – Usage Guidelines

Training materials are copyright, and intended for the learning use of the Hub subscriber. Please understand that hundreds of cumulative hours have gone into the creation of these training materials, and they represent the copyright intellectual property and legacy of the authors. Downloaded documents, recorded videos and forum post content are specifically prohibited from use beyond the HUB subscriber who has been granted access through subscription. Specifically, no further distribution of materials outside the HUB in seminars or classes, study groups or collaboration with others, discussion forums, or other professional or personal development venues, can be made without express written permission from The Hub for each document and recording used. Access will be terminated for any individual who evinces violation of copyright.
This requirement includes all course materials on the HUB without exception. Those who find value in the training materials on the HUB, and have a desire to share them with others, are encouraged to invite them to subscribe to the HUB for their own access.

Confidentiality of Case Materials – Usage Guidelines

Training materials include video and written case information which requires strict confidentiality, just as if the subscriber was honoring confidentiality of any person whose case was being taken. The same standard of confidentiality applies for the individual in each of the clinical video cases.

These clients have agreed to have personal experience, and their personal discomforts and suffering used in a teaching context. They deserve the appreciation and respect that this contribution merits. Subscriber confidentiality is specifically required. Content of these cases must not be discussed outside the the Hub platform, just as a personal details of a case would not be discussed outside of interaction with the person whose case was taken. Access will be terminated for any individual who evidences violation of confidentiality.

Content and Community Engagement – Usage Guidelines

The Hub Professional forum allows you to post, link, store, share and otherwise make available certain information, text, graphics, videos, or other material (“Content”). Participation in HUB Meetups, Study Groups and live class sessions allow chat and comment interaction. You are responsible for the content you create or include. This is a Civilized Place for Community Engagement.

  • Any topic is open to discussion that addresses the topic, not the individual that posted it. For example, it is ok to tell Einstein “About this E=mc2, I see it differently”. It is not ok to say “And you are clearly having a bad hair day”. Any ad hominen attacks and name calling are explicitly in violation of the terms of use. The Hub participants will receive one warning, and at a second event, access will be terminated.
  • Offer a different point of view or additional data that furthers the conversation.
  • Be civil. Don’t speak or write anything that a reasonable person would consider offensive, abusive, or hate speech.
  • Keep it clean. Don’t speak or post anything obscene or sexually explicit.
  • Respect each other. Don’t harass or grieve anyone, impersonate people, or expose their private information.
  • Respect our community portal. Don’t post spam or otherwise vandalize the forum. Do not advertise any personal services or goods.

The HUB interactions in our subscriber community here matter to us, and we want you to act as if they matter to you, too. Be respectful of the topics and the people discussing them, even if you disagree with some of what is being said.

Post Only Your Own Stuff

You may not post anything digital that belongs to someone else without the author’s permission. This includes documents, images and any other material for which you are not the copyright owner, or do not have have permission for use from their rightful owner. And while it may seem odd that this even needs to be said, it does… You may not post descriptions of, links to, or methods for stealing someone’s intellectual property (software, video, audio, images), or for breaking any other law.

Links To Other Web Sites

The Hub contains links to third-party web sites or services that are not owned or controlled by The Hub. The Hub has no control over, and assumes no responsibility for, the content, privacy policies, or practices of any third party web sites or services. You further acknowledge and agree that The Hub shall not be responsible or liable, directly or indirectly, for any damage or loss caused or alleged to be caused by or in connection with use of or reliance on any such content, goods or services available on or through any such web sites or services.
