After the JAHC finishes on Sunday evening\, you are cordially invited to join Karen Allen\, Ewald Stoteler\, the NCH leadership\, and your friends and colleagues for a very special sparkling toast at the Hahnemann Memorial. \nIn our 55 passenger luxury coach we will depart from the Reston Hyatt at 6pm. We will dine on pre-ordered boxed meals during a 45 minute ride\, as we learn the history of the area from our tour guide. At the Hahnemann Monument in Washington D.C.\, we will disembark; as a group\, we will offer a sparkling toast toast of thanks to Hahnemann\, and also to the leadership of the NCH at the conclusion of their final JAHC conference! A photographer will take pictures of individuals and groups in front of Hahnemann’s statue. (These will be available later for you to download.) \nAfter about 30 minutes onsite at the Hahnemann Memorial\, we will begin our sunset tour of Washington DC’s most famous monuments. From the comfort of our coach (complete with convenient bathroom) we’ll see memorials and monuments to Lincoln\, Jefferson\, Washington and Martin Luther King\, and hear about them from our tour guide. Our exact agenda will depend on traffic; we may have time for additional locations. During the return drive to Reston\, there will be time to rest and chat with your colleagues. DESCRIPTION:The HUB is honored to present\, in collaboration with the National Center for Homeopathy\, a JAHC post conference event with Dutch homeopath Ewald Stoteler\, April 20-21\, 2026.  Well known and highly regarded for his teaching and school in Europe\, he is the author of the text Hahnemann’s Homeopathy.  Many of you have learned from his HUB webinars in the New Voice in Town series of therapeutics\, and from his JAHC (2024) presentation on working with Lyme disease clients. \nNow you have the opportunity to study with him in person for two days at his first North American seminar! SUMMARY:**On Summer Break **  Off the Grid: Medicine of the People When Its Up to Us
DESCRIPTION:Off the Grid is on summer break\, and will resume in September. Review the stream on demand sessions in the HUB’s professional subscriber library. \n  \n  \nIt is so tempting to frame this course as ‘preparing for the Zombie Apocalypse’. The practical reality sounds less interesting but is a lot more likely. Sometimes modern conventional resources and help are unavailable. A camping\, mountain biking\, hiking or vehicle accident can bring the unexpected.  When we visit or live in a remote area\, wisdom invites us to be resourceful off the grid. This could happen at any time\, but we live in “interesting times”. \nBetween environmental and climate change\, social unrest and widespread microbial activity\, it is reasonable to think we may be on our own to make the best health and care choices we can\, at some point\, for some amount of time.  We are seeing these ‘off the grid’ events every month. Natural disasters can limit availability for basic survival requirements\, medical care\, communication and transportation. Things can go from normal to sideways very quickly.  We can collapse or we can take proactive charge of the situations in which we find ourselves\, our friends and family. \nJoin Karen Allen and guest instructors for a homeopath’s roadmap through disaster preparedness and functional off grid self care.
